WHO WE ARE
The Governor Wentworth Arts Council has enriched the southern Lakes Region since 1968, providing support to artists and cultural organizations. The Arts Council endeavors to bring impactful art-making experiences to the region, as well as exhibition and professional development opportunities across all artistic disciplines. We are a group of artists, organizations, and arts supporters who are dedicated to improving our local cultural environment.

"GWAC believed in my artistic talent before I believed in it. They helped me with a scholarship, which I used to buy art supplies and books. Books in the late 80' were so expensive, some costing as much as my rent. Receiving a scholarship was really art affirming for me."
