About the event

This is part 2 of a two part series, take one or both classes! Let’s explore motion in 3D space, now in sculpture form using commonly available materials! Learn how to build a hand-crank tin can automaton, and explore ways of transferring motion with mechanical means.  Class fee includes a .pdf instructional guide along with helpful sketches and diagrams for parts. Materials and tools required: clean soup can (or can of similar size), scratch paper, 16g steel baling wire, pliers, nail (same size as wire or bigger), hammer, wire cutters, hot glue, cardboard, pencil/sharpie, and a small interesting object you would like to make a part of your kinetic sculpture.
