Teach a "Local Lesson"
Time & Location
About the event
We’re looking for art instructors to teach "Local Lessons," a series of art workshops hosted by GWAC! The goal of the classes is to share local art expertise and raise money for GWAC arts initiatives. Are you available to teach in 2021? Can you teach an art topic that you know well? This can range from an introductory class to a workshop on a specific technique. We don’t know when the pandemic will be over, so most classes will be taught through Zoom. If you’re not sure how that would work for your class, don’t worry, we’ll help!
Artists instructors will be compensated at $30 per hour for class time. You can teach one class, or a series of 2 - 4 dates. Online sessions should be a maximum of two hours each. It is our hope that GWAC instructors may wish to donate their time as this is a fundraiser for the organization. Please note that classes with no enrollment will be cancelled and unpaid.
1. Instructors must have a background proficiency in their select topic, you do not have to be a degreed instructor.
2. You should have materials/materials list ready to conduct the class at the date/time outlined.
3. You should be able to handle a class size from 5 to about 15.
If you are interested, please contact GWAC at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you RSVP, we will reach out to you.
