Applications open January 1 - April 30

Award recipients will be notified in May

The Governor Wentworth Arts Council (GWAC) Arts Scholarship is for matriculating seniors in the Governor Wentworth School District who will be attending an accredited program in the arts. The use of the word “arts” is intentional and meant to encompass more than traditional fine art programs. Applicants may be attending programs ranging from performing arts, to visual art, to fine craft programs. Examples include but are not limited to: attendance at fine art school, participation in a graphic design program, training in a theater troupe, or apprenticeship with a craftsperson. If you are unsure that your chosen program fits the “arts” criteria, please contact the Grants Chairperson.

Up to two seniors will be awarded $500-$1000 each. Applicants who are age 18 or older at the time of application are also eligible for the Priscilla Hodges Scholarship. Selected awardees will be publicly recognized in GWAC publications.
